The Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in Hinduism, encompassing the four divine abodes of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. It is believed that completing this yatra washes away all sins and leads to Moksha (liberation).
This 10-day journey from Haridwar, the gateway to the gods, takes you through the majestic Garhwal Himalayas — where every curve reveals rivers, waterfalls, temples, and mythological tales. From taking the holy dip in the Yamuna Kund to bowing before Lord Kedarnath Ji and Lord Badri Vishal, this yatra connects the body, mind, and soul to divinity.

Day 01 – Haridwar to Barkot (220 km / 7 hrs)
Drive via Kempty Fall and Ganganani Kund to Barkot. Begin your divine journey through scenic valleys and waterfalls. Evening arrival at Barkot.

Day 02 – Barkot - Yamunotri Darshan (42 km drive + 5 km trek each side)
Early morning, drive to Janki Chatti, then trek 5 km to Yamunotri Temple. Take a holy dip at Tapt Kund, perform pooja, and trek back.
Possible Sightseeing: Hanuman Chatti, Surya Kund, Divya Shila

Day 03 – Barkot to Uttarkashi / Harsil (160 km / 6 hrs)

Day 04 – Uttarkashi – Gangotri Excursion (100 km round trip)
Morning drive to Gangotri Dham, one of the most revered shrines of Goddess Ganga. Take a dip in the sacred river and offer prayers at the temple. Return to Uttarkashi by evening.

Day 05 – Uttarkashi to Guptkashi / Sitapur (240 km / 9 hrs)
Early morning departure for Guptkashi. En route, pass Tehri Dam and Prayag confluences. Arrive by evening and rest.

Day 06 – Guptkashi / Sitapur to Kedarnath Darshan (21 km trek)
Here is the day when you are preparing for the Chardham Yatra's most wanted and toughest part, “The Darshan of Shre Kedarnath Ji”. Early Morning, drive towards Sonprayag the last stop where our driver will drop you. From Sonprayag you have to take the Govt Taxi to reach Gaurikund (On Direct Payment Basis). from Gaurikund Trek starts. Start your trek to Kedarnath, after reaching Kedarnath ji do pooja, Darshan, Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
Pony Charges - Approx INR 5000-6000 Per person From Gaurikund to Ghoda Padav (Horse Stand)
Palki Charges - Approx INR 10000- 15000 Per person

Local drivers in Chardham sectors depend heavily on this seasonal Yatra economy. The associations, supported by UKTTA, allow nominal extra charges for side excursions as supplementary income.

Note: In the Himalayan region, AC vehicle service is not available beyond Haridwar. AC will only operate between Delhi–Haridwar–Dehradun as per prior confirmation.
If cancellation is done before 30 days of arrival 90% of the total booking amount will be refunded.
If cancellation is done before 25-30 days of arrival 70% of the total booking amount will be refunded.
If cancellation is done before 20-24 days of arrival 50% of the total booking amount will be refunded.
If cancellation is done before 10-19 days of arrival 25% of the total booking amount will be refunded.
If cancellation is done within 09 Days of arrival 00% of the total booking amount will be refunded.

The rates of accommodation in hotels are based on the availability of it in the hotels. In case the mentioned hotels do not have rooms/accommodation available, alternate stay accommodations will be subsequently arranged in hotels belonging to the same class/category (will offer similar amenities).
The early and late Check-Ins will be again subject to the room/accommodation availability. Most hotels have set the 12:00 noon time for Check-In and Check-out purposes in Chardham region and tourist sector.
Cancellation of the plans will invite the cancellation fee/charge, as per the company norms and policy.
Any and all vehicles for the trip will be arranged in accordance with the itinerary, and not subject to disposal. The Air Conditioner will only be switched on while driving in the plains. The Air Conditioner of the vehicle will be switched on in the plains of Haridwar and Dehradun and not in the hill drive. The package that you have opted for will also exert constraints and amenities towards this end.
The sightseeing will be subject to and constrained by the political, traffic and weather conditions during the voyage/trip. Changes shall be made when the conditions go extremely adverse.
Retention/fee will be charged if the Check-In gets delayed or is cancelled due to any of the 3rd party services (including a pony, helicopter, palaki and others). The accommodation that will be next provided will be subject to the availability of it in the hotels.
No refunds and adjustments will be made for the sightseeing activities and destinations that get missed due to political/weather disturbances, natural calamities and other unforeseen reason that we cannot control.
The entrance and other similar fees (to parks, monuments etc.) will have to be paid by the client directly at the venue/spot, which he/she shall visit in accordance with the itinerary.
We advised against travelling at night. Supplement charges will be levied when necessary.
60% of the tour package cost needs to be deposited at the booking time.
Next 20% of the tour package cost should be deposited at least 30 days before the actual date of departure.
The remaining 20% (complete 100%) should be deposited at least 15 days before the date of actual departure.
When/If you cancel the Holiday Tour Plan and Package
The travel arrangements and the tour can be cancelled by either you or anyone else in your tour party. An email or a written notification in this regard must be received by us at our offices. The cancellation charges that will hence be levied will be in accordance with our duly published cancellation policy detailed below.
It is also hereby advised that the above-given rules/provisions/notes are the complete and sole T and C or terms and conditions that govern the tour operations of the tour, and are supplemented by User Agreement only. None of our agents or employees have any rights to change, modify or amend these points and conditions, and hence you need to rely on them. We at Yatra possess all rights to change the T & C any time without providing you with a notice.
Change in travel arrangements/itineraries We have the right to change the itineraries and the travel arrangements of the Chardham tour, without providing you with a notice. Road, weather and other external and internal changes may call for changes.
